Adaptation Is Key to Represent the People

Though Dan had declared his candidacy for Huntersville Mayor this spring, another candidate jumped in and filed.

After careful consideration, Dan decided to put Huntersville first and campaign for Commissioner instead. He recognizes that his vote is part of his leadership plan.

“I’m running for Commissioner because I care deeply about this town,” Boone said. “Huntersville deserves representation that will listen to residents and balance the need for growth with the wishes of the people. I’m ready to serve.”

Boone’s leadership spans years of service across key boards and town functions. With experience as vice chair of both the Huntersville Planning Board and Board of Adjustment, he then served eight years as Town Commissioner, where he was liaison to the police and fire departments, and Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics (HFFA), and represented the town at the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO).

Key accomplishments include:

• Eight years as Town Commissioner; 
• Liaison to the police and fire departments, Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics (HFFA);
• Represented Huntersville at the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO);
• Vice Chair of both the Huntersville Planning Board and the Board of Adjustment;
• Fiscal responsibility by not raising taxes throughout his tenure;
• Founding member of the Olde Huntersville Historic Society, helping to preserve the town’s heritage and its oldest building;
• Co-President of the Rotary Club of Lake Norman–Huntersville, promoting civic engagement and local service; and
• Active member of St. Mark Catholic Church, committing to faith, service, and community values.

Dan Boone will focus on delivering real solutions for responsible growth, strong public safety, infrastructure investment, and protection of Huntersville’s character as it continues to grow. He is committed to ensuring the town remains a strong, vibrant place for families and businesses alike.
