Though Dan had declared his candidacy for Huntersville Mayor this spring, another candidate jumped in and filed.
After careful consideration, Dan decided to put Huntersville first and campaign for Commissioner instead. He recognizes that his vote is part of his leadership plan.
“I’m running for Commissioner because I care deeply about this town,” Boone said. “Huntersville deserves representation that will listen to residents and balance the need for growth with the wishes of the people. I’m ready to serve.”
Boone’s leadership spans years of service across key boards and town functions. With experience as vice chair of both the Huntersville Planning Board and Board of Adjustment, he then served eight years as Town Commissioner, where he was liaison to the police and fire departments, and Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics (HFFA), and represented the town at the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO).
